Dr. Md. Niamul Islam is a Structural Engineer at SpaceEdge Limited, bringing 10+ years of combined experience in structural engineering, safety assessment, and advanced analytical modelling. He specializes in the assessment, repair, and strengthening of steel, concrete, and composite systems, supported by strong capability in finite element modelling and performance-based evaluation. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences, including research on FRP/CFRP-based strengthening and structural health assessment.

Dr. Niamul previously served as a Structural Safety Engineer with RMG Sustainability Council (RSC) and ACCORD Foundation, where he conducted regular safety inspections, verified structural and as-built documentation, reviewed remediation works, and prepared engineering assessment reports—experience that directly supports compliance-driven structural consultancy.

He also contributed to bridge renewal research in Japan through joint collaboration with NEXCO, combining data-driven analysis, modelling, and technical reporting to support lifecycle rehabilitation planning. This international exposure strengthens his ability to evaluate complex structural problems with clarity and discipline.

He holds a Doctor of Engineering from Nagaoka University of Technology, along with an M.Sc. in Structural Engineering and a B.Sc. in Structural Engineering from Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET).
